Christies of Genesee is located in the scenic Genesee area just off I-70 at 7600 feet in elevation. We have a beautiful garden and patio area complete with a waterfall and bridge spanning our pond. The view is spectacular and the inside dinning and dance area is surrounded by windows. we are an inclusive venue that will provide just about everything you will need on your special day. The mansion once served as a seasonal hunting lodge for Charles Boettcher, but was then donated to the county for public use. Cherokee Ranch & Castle features breathtaking views of the Rockies, 3,400 acres of unspoiled land and wildlife sanctuary, and a 1450s Scottish-style Castle with exquisite collections of art and antiques. The pristine property, historic venue and dedicated staff will make your event an enchanting experience, leaving you and your guests with enduring memories. The maximum capacity inside the Castle is 75 guests. During certain months of the year, our Veranda Tent is available and can accomodate up to 150 guests. The Castle is available January through December, and the Veranda Tent is available May through September (October, weather permitting).

If you prefer to host your event outside, our outdoor facilities can comfortably fit over 500 people and we have tents available. We have the audio/visual equipment you require for presentations and table and chair arrangements suited for all types of occasions. We even have a 500 square foot dance floor in our newly renovated hall. At The Franciscan, we also have a wonderful and delicious onsite catering service, That Personal Touch Catering, that will handle all of your food and beverage needs.
