“This venue was perfect from start to finish. This hotel/venue has beautiful sweeping Hudson river views. This is a dog friendly venue. It is also only a 25 minute drive from local Albany airport. The venue has a modern industrial vibe. Aaron, Laura and the whole Wire team were very accommodating and kind from day one. This venue is all inclusive. We were were able to book hotel blocks for our guests. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. We were able to stay in the bridal suite (Heron Suite) for a total of three nights. This room is beautiful, it has a large 4 poster bed, sitting room and huge bathroom with large walk in shower. We had our rehearsal dinner at the Patrick Henry ( one of their restaurants on site), which is adjacent to the venue property. The food was delicious and gave off a casual vibe for out of town guests as they were arriving. The day of the wedding the bride and groom have their own beautiful getting ready rooms. The bridal getting ready room had a lot of natural light and salon style chairs for hair and makeup. The morning after the wedding we had our brunch at the Day line Roof top bar, which is another restaurant on the property. The food was a delicious breakfast buffet. If you are looking for a beautiful venue thats all inclusive that your guests can stay at all weekend long and enjoy themselves, this is it!”

“We had a roundabout journey to The Caboose, but I couldn't be happier that it's where we landed for our wedding in September '25. From the jump, we appreciated the gorgeous space, their commitment to doing right by the planet, and the affiliation with Kitty's—some of our favorite food in Hudson. The combination of a beautiful garden and stunning indoor space made us feel like we were safe no matter the weather. Every time we visited, the garden got better. We loved how lush and colorful it was for our day. We enjoyed working with Caitlin, the venue manager. She was creative and flexible and willing to work with us to do a few things a little differently (like have the ceremony in a different spot in the garden). The food was truly incredible—we still have people raving about it! We appreciated that because we were right on the edge seasonally, we were able to choose the summer menu instead of the one for fall, which felt just right for the day's weather and feeling. Because we had our tasting in February, we weren't able to try most of the items we had, but we trusted we were in good hands—and we definitely were. The kitchen team was also incredibly accommodating with our guest's dietary restrictions—everyone felt very cared for, which is what we hoped for the most! We had live music as well as a DJ and everything sounded truly great in the space. The staff working on our day was SO kind and helpful—people made mention of how warm everyone was, too. I saw many a chitchat at the bar, just because they were so lovely! Just a note, too, that while The Caboose was pricey, we were totally amazed by the value and all that they take care of. We looked at dozens of venues—from full-service spots to DIY operations—and kept coming back to the mix of creativity, value, and quality that The Caboose offered. The fact that they take care of the food, drinks, furniture rentals, lighting, sound system, and staff—and all at such a high caliber—unheard of! We truly couldn't have done it without them. “The Basilica is a one-of-a-kind space. If you are trying to avoid having a cookie-cutter wedding, this is the place for you. The staff has seen this venue set up in MANY different ways and can make anything you imagine come to life. I was really worried about being able to turn a blank space into my dream night but they made it happen easily. I'll never forget the feeling of seeing it all set up for the first time. The best part is that there are zero time restrictions on the space. Which for us, meant an after-party until 3am :)”

“We had our wedding at Vanderbilt Lakeside at the end of August and could not have imagined a better experience. From start to finish, working with Henrietta and Matt was truly seamless. Henrietta was responsive, organized, transparent, and made the planning process genuinely enjoyable. She also had many vendor recommendations that were incredibly helpful in bringing everything together. The venue is stunning and so versatile. We had 50 guests and highly recommend renting a tent for the deck if you're doing dinner outside. It really elevates the space and the flow of the reception. Our ceremony was in the yard, dinner on the deck, and dancing in the bar room, and it all flowed perfectly. The staff was amazing and made us feel like VIPs all night. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food, the service, and the beauty of the venue. We loved staying on-site with our dog while family and friends stayed in downtown Hudson, and we arranged a shuttle for easy transportation. Setup and cleanup were a breeze, thanks not only to the Vanderbilt Lakeside staff but also to our wedding coordinator, which made the whole experience even smoother. We loved every minute and couldn't recommend Vanderbilt Lakeside enough. I almost wish I could keep it a secret because of how special it felt. It was worth every penny, and was truly the perfect place for us to celebrate.”

Perfect to decorate how you want for your dream wedding. Since out barn is so large we typically only recommend people book with us if their attending guest count is 100+ people. If you book with us we promise it will be a day you will never forget and the beginning to the start of your lives together!
