“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Having Cascade Live Events as our DJ vendor was easy, affordable, fun, affirming, and common-sense. We booked Mike Steltz, Co-Founder, as our DJ. Where to start! First off, Mike was SO affordable for what we were looking for; we built a custom package based on our specific needs, and he was flexible priced it reasonably. Second, Mike was flexible and chill about changes along the way; we postponed a year due to COVID concerns, and after a quick chat he promptly sent us a subcontract confirming the new dates. No hassle at all! And day-of he was laid-back and professional when inclement weather forced us to relocate the dance floor. We also want to note that as an LGBT couple Cascade Live Events felt LGBT friendly affirming. We were transparent about ourselves from the first conversation, and explained we also had a lot of LGBT community coming; Mike used our pronouns, was comfortable enjoyed playing the queer music we asked for, and worked hard to make us our guests feel comfortable and affirmed the day of. Mike is NOT your corny old man DJ playing at a long island wedding (lol): he is young, super chill, and easy to work with. Fourth, Mike did a good job staying in touch with the audience on the dance floor. He played the tunes we asked for, but he didn't act as a living spotify playlist; he remixed some FIRE tunes, and pulled from similar genrestime periods to keep the energy up on the dance floor. He was in tune with the vibe of the party! At our request he had obscure gay club songs AND interspersed more familiar tunes. As a testiment to Mike's skills the dance floor was open for 3 hours and even though we had a small guest count we had 9 people dancing till the very end. Cannot recommend this vendor highly enough! (Side note: it was important to us that all our vendors had dinner, breaks, and a fun time too. Cascade Live Events did have dinner written in their contract, but not everyone did. Vendors are also human beings, and they were integral parts of our wedding! We encourage all wedding couples, regardless of who they book [tho u SHOULD book Cascade Live Events lol], to also be considerate and chill with their vendors. It makes a huge difference & reduces stress for everyone the day of. :))”

From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make our big day unforgettable. First off, communication was wonderful. DJ Lennox was responsive in the months leading up to the wedding and provided a well-thought-out sheet to fill out for music preferences, special requests, etc. On the day of the wedding, he arrived early, set up quickly, and was professional throughout. The music selection was perfect - he really knew how to read the room and kept everyone on the dance floor all night! One of the highlights was the way DJ Lennox handled our ceremony. His online forum was easy to navigate and use. We loved the uplighting and the audio guestbook (phone)!! Also I appreciate that he read and followed through with all the small notes we left for him (specifically we asked for father/daughter, mother/son and first dance to end after the chorus and not play the entire 3-4 minutes). Such a great time. We received so many compliments on our music and the dance floor was busy all night long! He was always very responsive and quick to work with any last minute changes (we had a rainy day).”

“Shawn did an awesome job! He did the music for our wedding ceremony, the music for the reception, provided uplighting, and the photobooth. My now husband and I enjoyed working with Shawn. He is funny, easy going, and patient. His questionnaire is very detailed and is very helpful for pulling the music together for the day. He also was very focused on making sure my now husband and I heard what we wanted to hear for the music. During the ceremony, Shawn timed the music perfectly. We saw later watching videos that he even cut the microphone out for my brother, the officiant of the wedding, when my brother almost started talking over parents walking down the aisle. Thanks for that, Shawn! Later in the night, we had other challenges with our timeline due to longer than expected speeches, too many tables to say hi to, and my own indecisiveness. Shawn handled all these obstacles very smoothly, kept an eye on the crowd and helped us stay in tune with when we needed to get the dance floor going. He played the songs we requested and helped us out with choosing songs for younger people. Since the wedding went by so quickly, I think the thing I am most grateful for is all the photos and videos he took of the night. The day was a bit of a blur and Shawn let us relive the night by sending us tons of photos and videos of everyone dancing. Thank you for that, Shawn!”
