Atkinson Farms

5.0

  • Up to 300 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $7,500
  • Offer

A rustic wedding venue in Danville, Virginia, Atkinson Farms is the perfect scenic location for creating lasting memories. Tucked away in the countryside, the venue's entrance is flanked by beautiful gates and well-manicured fields. Atkinson Farms is the premier place for hosting your affair!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Flexible event spaces
  • Dressing room available
  • Feels like a getaway

Venue considerations

  • Best for events with big guest lists
  • Dance floor not included
  • Not wheelchair accessible
When I called Atkinson’s Farm to plan a wedding in just seven weeks because my daughter’s fiancé was being deployed to Japan, I was overwhelmed and unsure if it could even be done. Eddie didn’t laugh or hesitate—he simply said, “Let’s make this happen.” From that moment on, he delivered. His guidance, checklists, and constant communication made an incredibly stressful situation feel possible and supported. Eddie’s team—Tara, Dougie, and Wendy—were just as amazing. Tara was more than a coordinator; she was compassionate, calming, and fully invested in making sure our family felt cared for. We truly could not have done this without her. Dougie worked behind the scenes like magic, efficiently setting up and tearing down with ease, and Wendy handled the bar flawlessly—even with our lively crowd. The property is beautiful, and having the wedding party stay on‑site the night before meant more than words can express. The lodge and cabin are stunning, the food was absolutely incredible (we received so many heartfelt compliments), and even with an impending ice and snowstorm, my daughter and son‑in‑law had the wedding of their dreams. If you’re looking for a venue that shows up for you—not just in perfect conditions, but when life is happening fast and emotions are high—Atkinson Farms is it. We will always be grateful. Highly recommend.

Camelot Meadows is an absolutely stunning venue. The owner is extremely thorough and thoughtful which makes the venue an incredible place to get married. The inside is spacious, immaculately clean, and beautiful. The air conditioning in this place is impressive, especially considering how hot it was at my August wedding. The staff is very helpful and kind. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Charlotte, NC
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $3,500

Situated on the edge of uptown in emerging North End Charlotte, Petty Thieves was conceived as an embrace of lost places and a rejection of modern ubiquity, on the keel of grassroots innovation and stubborn resilience, with an eclectic seasonal menu of traditional and cutting-edge ales and lagers in a taproom born from churches and libraries, and a few secrets, outfitted with overstuffed couches and rugs, and a shaded patio boasting some of the best uninterrupted skyline views. What you’ll find at our urban oasis is artfully crafted, and anything but off-the-shelf. We’re salvation from the hell of sameness.

  • Multiple event spaces
  • Feels like a getaway
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • No on-premises lodging options
  • Additional event staff required
As a couple we've always loved Petty Thieves, so when we discovered they could be rented out as a reception venue we immediately reached out. We loved the warm, unique feel to the space and it fit our vibe as a couple perfectly. We also loved how flexible the space could come, from making a dance floor, using the outside for s'mores, and clearing space to do our dances/toasts. Kelli, the event manager, worked closely with us and our month-of coordinator to create a timeline that worked for a reception. She helped us problem solve layout and how to best incorporate our vendors. She also made sure the space and staff were ready for our day as soon as the guests arrived. Thank you to Kelli and Petty Thieves for helping make our day so special!

There are no words to describe the love and gratitude we feel for House Boheme. The moment we stepped foot onto the property we knew this was the place we wanted to spend our wedding day at. Don't get me wrong the scenery is beautiful, the property is dreamy, and the decor is stunning but what sold us was Coco and Emerson. They have built something so special at House Boheme and you can feel the love from them everywhere on the property. From the very beginning they treated us like family and made every single step of planning a wedding stress free. I am not lying STRESS FREE. My piece of advice chose the venue, choose them (flowers and photography) and then TRUST them to work their magic because they will. There is not one single con or negative thing I can say about the venue, the property, or them. I choose them over and over again, every single time. Do yourself a favor and hire them, you won't regret it.

Me & my husband chose The Union Exchange as our wedding venue and we couldn't have picked a better one! The staff are SO lovely (massive shoutout to Kelly & Kacie!) and they were so flexible with us and really put in the extra effort to make sure our day was perfect. Not only are the staff here excellent at their jobs, they are also such wonderful kindhearted people too. We felt INSTANTLY welcomed the first time we ever visited & that is ultimately what lead us to choosing this place to get married. My family stayed in the big AirBNB at the front of the venue and it's such a great space for larger parties! Very modern but with a rustic twist and has everything you need. Also the animals are ADORABLE! Myself and my husband stayed in one of the little cabins near the lake and we both loved it so much that we will be coming back every year to celebrate our anniversary! They are so cosy but very clean, we loved sitting on the chairs at the front and watching all the geese go by. Special shoutout to the candles here, the "Market Mornings" candle was a nice addition to our cabin and we even bought one to take home with us to remember this by. Even though we were here for our wedding, I know they do so many cool events which are perfect for all ages, we will definitely be back in future! I cannot recommend this beautiful place more 3

From the moment we booked Redbird Ridge Estate for our wedding, the staff were readily available, kind, and extremely helpful. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with a modern and inviting atmosphere that made our special day feel so warm and personal. They were able to fulfill my request to rearrange some of the furniture to better suit our needs, and even allowed me to rent a tent to cover the back deck so my caterer could easily set up and tear down our dinner buffet. The only downside was the lack of a full kitchen, which did make it a bit more challenging for the catering team. But overall, Redbird Ridge Estate went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect, and I'm so grateful we chose this stunning venue.
