“Moriah is as good as it gets. Three things that Moriah does extremely well: 1) Amazing portraits AND candid pictures. I noticed scrolling through Moriah's pictures, that everyone looked like they were having such a fun time. I love how Moriah captured the little, candid moments on the big day, as equally as the big moments. 2) Planning / communication. Moriah initiated our planning sessions and were always well timed with our wedding planning process. Each planning session was productive and I always felt better after talking details through with Mo. One example: he happily jumped on and clung to the back of a boat last minute to capture our post-ceremony ride across the lake to our reception site - those turned out to be some of my favorite photos of all time! He was creative and helpful, and put us both at ease (neither my husband nor I are big into getting our photos taken in the first place). Our photos all came out so beautifully that it was extremely tough to narrow them down for an album. The turnaround time was also surprisingly fast. Highly recommend working with Shem!”

“I originally chose Holly for my photographer because we had a very specific theme for our wedding (Destiny the video game). It must have also been Destiny that she played the game and was familiar with the theme. Also, she was amazingly flexible and willing to work with our budget. Her correspondence with me was always quick and prompt. Even when it came to getting my professional pictures and sneak peaks all back, I was told it would be up to 2 months for return, but she had them back in only a week or two's time. Unfortunately, (as these things sometimes happen) Holly was not able to actually come do our photos due to getting extremely sick (which no one can help), so we had to have a stand in photographer named Justin. I know we (including herself) were all bummed she could not be there considering we were all excited and familiar with the theme. Despite not having Holly, Justin was still very nice to work with and did an amazing job. I did notice that the best pictures (of course) were the ones he had time to actually position and pose us for. I think my biggest regret was I wish I had had more time and funds to pay for more time for him to pose us and take these more less candid photos. I was sad to find that we missed out on getting individual photos of my daughters and all four of them on their own. Also there were no photos of my husband with his second oldest daughter which really upset her... But again, I don't blame the photographer for this. It really was chalked up to a lack of time. Also, one of my daughters changed into more comfortable clothes during dinner so that took away from us being able to get the nice pictures I had wanted. So I can't emphasize enough that I don't blame the photographers for this at all... It was just one of my biggest regrets on my part of the night. I again, wish I had built more time and been able to contribute more money to more pictures that could be done in this manner. I definitely recommend this team. They are so nice and do their best to check off all of the boxes that you want. They work with you and are quick and efficient with what they do.”

“Liza photographed our small intimate wedding. From the outset, she set out to make sure the day went smoothly and that we would get the best pictures possible on our special day. We explained to her that our wedding would consist of a very short ceremony and a dinner. The rest of the night would be some games and hanging out, but no dancing. Our original vision was to have her photograph the ceremony, group shots, and the dinner and skip couple portraits. After consulting with her, she recommended skipping the dinner photos (nobody looks good while eating) and photographing the ceremony, group shots, and, since our package left us with a remaining hour, plan for couple portraits before our ceremony. It was great advice and we're happy to have the couple portraits! On the day of she was very approachable and made us feel comfortable during our private session. She was clear when directing and arranging folks for the group photos. All of the pictures turned out great! I would definitely recommend Liza for any wedding or special occasion!”

“Kaitlin is amazing to work with. As a photographer who has done weddings myself, I had high standards and specific requests that weeded out a lot of people during my search. My wife and I are very introverted, shy, and not used to being the center of attention — let alone in front of a camera. We love our newlywed portraits, largely due to how natural it felt to work with her—again this was huge for us as two people who are a bit camera shy. Our reception photos are equally beautiful, she captured meaningful candid moments without feeling like she was standing between us and the moments happening around us. If you’re like my wife and me and aren’t used to being on camera, I would 100% recommend booking a practice session with Kaitlin either for engagement photos or couples’ photos. As a photographer I’m used to being behind the camera and not in front of it. She helped us feel comfortable and it also helped her see how we interact together as a couple. At no point did we feel like Kaitlin was commandeering our schedule to check off boxes on a shot-list. She was seamlessly integrated everything. Genuinely, I cannot recommend Kaitlin enough. Working with her is like having a best friend there take your wedding photos.”

She took the time to get to know us, our vision, and our story. She was incredibly helpful in crafting a timeline for the wedding day, and we were able to pull off a very ambitious/adventurous first look, and still get all the other pictures we wanted! She figured out so many little details for us, and was so thoughtful in the sentimental shots and items she included. She is an excellent guide with posing, a great person to have by your side to fix jewelry, hair, or your veil (about 15 times in my case), all while staying calm, cool and collected. She found opportunities to grab photos I'd have never thought of, and is more than happy to find beautiful ways to make your ideas happen!! She did so much work behind the scenes making sure every detail was recorded, which meant so much to us. All the decorations around the reception, the ceremony site, and more are beautifully photographed so we can go back and remember them. Also, she gave us a great mix of posed, formal photos, and candid, in the moment photos. Our gallery feels so authentic and she really captured the feel and the joy of the day!!! I absolutely loved having an engagement session included in the packaged. She was down for an adventure, and we got to get photos in a place that was very special to us! It also gave us a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, and develop a relationship with her, so when the wedding day came along, we weren't worried about meeting someone new or figuring out posing on our own.”
