She understands that most people have never planned a wedding before helped us not only plan photos, but reorganize our reception to flow better. My husband and I are very photo shy, enough so that we debated on whether or not to even hire a photographer for the wedding. Villa was so great at directing interesting, natural poses that didn't feel forced or awkward in the moment. We opt-ed not to do an engagement shoot, but if we had to do it all over again, we absolutely would with Villa. During day of, Villa was extremely detailed and organized. She arrived early to the venue to capture photos and understand the space overall. She was very good about taking photos in a way that didn't interrupt the flow of events while navigating a fairly large and irregularly shaped venue. We received a great blend of editorial and photo-journalistic images that really captured the day beautifully. She has a great eye for wide shots, close up details, and artistic framing. Our wedding day started on a sunny day at noon and ended in the evening. Villa shot great photos throughout all the lighting changes during the day including many flash photography and low light shots after the sun had set. “We hired Steven and his team to do our wedding photos and videography. I really wanted a photographer that could capture the soul of the event, and Steven did exactly that. His photos are full of life, and I shared so many portraits with guests that actually got printed out or posted online. If you're looking for hundreds of photos of your wedding party that look exactly the same and for every planned second to be documented, Steven is not your person. If you're looking to hit the big moments but focus on capturing raw moments with timeless photos to get framed, I couldn't recommend them more. I never thought I would get a wedding video because it always seemed cheesy to me. But after watching examples of his work I fell absolutely in love with his videos. I've honestly had a hard time watching ours because it evokes so much emotion. Steven was collaborative and willing to go with the flow. We gave him the difficult task of being prepared for 3 different locations with totally differing lighting (indoor/outdoor plus shooting from high sun into the night). He puts an immense amount of care into his work and the photos are truly art that we will cherish forever. If there are specific things you want covered, be sure to share a list. When it comes to capturing the moments that can't be planned, he is on the case!”

“Darcy was an absolute pleasure to work with and we LOVE our photos. She truly captured the emotions of the day and the essence of all the people we love the most. Any time i look at our photos, i find myself involuntarily smiling. She captured the classic posed photos AND the precious in-between moments where people are being their most authentic selves (the face my dad makes when he's really intently listening, the hand gestures my mom uses when she's explaining something and can't find the right words, the face my mother in law makes when she's cracking herself up, the face my father in law makes right before the tears fall, and so so many more). Not ONLY are her photos amazing, but she made us feel so relaxed on the day-of. Her style is totally unobtrusive, which is just what we needed. Darcy got such amazing photos of all our guests we put 4x6" prints in our thank you cards and people were SO appreciative. She's on fridges across America. I’m joking, unless you really want me to, in which maybe WE should get married.

“My husband Will and I got married in October and we planned everything together. Hands down, the easiest and best decision we made (besides going through with the marriage ;-)) was picking Chris as our photographer. He was so easy to work with from the get go. We set up a brief meeting, shared our vision (we wanted a "photojournalist approach"), and mapped out a schedule of events. Anything that we did not think to ask, he made sure to bring up and help make our vision more complete. Chris was excellent at capturing all of the tiny moments of the night without being in anyone's way. The pictures that he captured were absolutely STUNNING--the perfect amount of sentimental moments captured in beautiful lighting and silly off the cuff moments that captured the essence of each and every guest. We would work again with Chris in a heartbeat and friends have already requested his contact information for their ceremony. As an added bonus, because we did not end up using Chris for all of the allotted time, he offered to do a separate photoshoot whenever we would like. It's those little attention to details and customer service which make Chris stand out from the rest. Overall, Chris was kind, professional, quick to edit and publish photos, and an amazing photographer. You would not do wrong by hiring him!”
