I'm Jen, the founder of Vow House, a Seattle-based wedding photography studio dedicated to capturing love stories with an editorial, artful, and cinematic approach. With over a decade of experience behind the camera, I have built a body of work that blends moody, timeless imagery with authentic storytelling, tailored to each couple’s vision. I bring a calm, grounded energy that helps people relax, whether I’m goofing off with your wedding party or hanging back to document the magic as it unfolds. With over 15 years experience in weddings, I bring a mix of documentary & editorial elements to your day so you see all of the sentimental moments that happened both with and without you, while also having beautiful portraits to hang in your home or showcase to future generations. My goal is to illustrate the feelings of the day through my gallery, so you can relive the day over and over.

Awarded Best of Zola
I had the most magical, perfect wedding and one of the most wonderful things about it is I have incredible photos to remember it. I cannot emphasize this enough, if you need a wedding photographer, pick Erin. There are a lot of things I could say about Erin, but I’m going to break it down into two categories: experience and quality. Erin is warm, funny, and a wonderful listener. My husband and I both don’t love photos and from our engagement shoot onward Erin made us feel comfortable, engaged, and like ourselves. She takes extra time and effort to get to know you as a couple and what will and won’t work for you. All of my wedding party and many of my guests have reached out to me to remark on how wonderful, kind, and comfortable Erin made them feel during our wedding. Basically Erin is just amazing as a human and that translates into her being able to create an experience for you that allows you to focus on your event and the love you share with your partner and you never have to worry because you trust Erin will make things work because she understands you. Second, I AM SO BLOWN AWAY BY THE QUALITY OF ERIN’S WORK! Like I knew from her website she’d be great, but looking over the photos we got after the wedding made me realize just how talented Erin is. She captured every moment and emotion so beautifully. I can see the love and joy in every photo. Seriously, I teared up when I looked at some of them because they so reflected how I felt in that moment. These are photos I’m going to look at for years to come and never wonder what was happening or how I felt because they were so well captured. Erin is a magician with her camera and you will not be disappointed for one second by how incredible your photos turn out. Erin is an incredible human and phenomenal photographer. I cannot sing her praises high enough. Hire her. You will not be disappointed and you’ll have your most precious memories captured to perfection.

We were stoked. He was amazing to work with on the wedding day - punctual, friendly, got all the requested shots, and the whole bridal party loved him. We got our pictures back today - and they’re so much better than we could have dreamed of. It’s no wonder he was featured in Vogue - his work is artistic, candid, and beautiful. Julie Morgan from Sound & Sea Photography gave me the photo session of my dreams. Her expertise and attention to detail left me worry and anxiety free. Being from out of state, we were able to connect via phone and zoom. I gave her my vision and some details i wanted to incorporate and BOY DID SHE DELIVER!!!! She gave me plenty of site options to choose from, and all were exactly what i was looking for. We narrowed it down to distance and ease to locate since we were traveling with little ones. She considered everyone and everything. Her outlook and sense of direction really made the absolute difference. She took factors of the elements, snow, sun, shade, fog, light and gave us the most beautiful moments. Even capturing the little candid moments with the kids and my new husband were so heart warming. She saw what I didn't see. She positioned us in ways that were both flattering and fun! She had the best pricing but and the best accommodations. I would definitely recommend a thousand times!

Jen Patterson Photo

Seattle, WA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $4,600

The thing I hear most from my couples? “You made us feel so comfortable.” Most people don’t love being in front of the camera (totally normal), but that’s where I come in—to help you feel like the best version of yourself while making memories you’ll actually want to hang on your walls. Your wedding photographer is with you through the quiet moments and the chaos, so it matters who you have by your side. With me, you get someone who knows how to read the room, roll with whatever the day brings, and add calm, joy, and confidence to it all.

Awarded Best of Zola
Working with Jenn Patterson was an absolute joy! I truly appreciate vendors who communicate clearly and go above and beyond — and Jenn does exactly that. From start to finish, she brought such professionalism, creativity, and heart to our wedding at The Corson Building. Jenn has a gift for finding beauty in the smallest details. She took the most subtle elements of our day and made them feel magnificent and deeply significant. The flatlay she created was stunning — a rich, thoughtful collection of pieces she curated and styled with such intention. She arrived early to ensure nothing felt rushed, and throughout the day we had so much fun anticipating moments together — seamlessly aligning to capture them with ease and precision. Her calm energy and artistic eye made the entire experience effortless and memorable. I can’t recommend Jenn enough. She doesn’t just take photos — she tells a story, one filled with emotion, beauty, and meaning.

Photography lets me combine all of my INFJ superpowers into one package, & it fills me with so much joy to share that with my clients. I believe that everyone is beautiful. Somewhere deep within you, there is a fire of light and joy. Not everyone’s light shines in the same way or with the same strength or even all the time. Stuff changes. People are different, but deep down, everyone is connected to the little bit of themselves that is truly theirs. I’m also all about being adventurous. That could mean we’re going to go climb a mountain or it might mean we’re going to try the really spicy chai tea. By experiencing life in the process of making photos, you’re going to be even more connected to the images because they will have stories that go along with them.

Joe photographed my wedding a couple months ago, and we can’t say enough amazing things about him, honestly, he's a rockstar and so incredibly talented! From the moment we met, he made us feel so comfortable and at ease, and that energy carried through our entire wedding day. Honestly, his vibe and presence were stellar; I instantly thought I could be friends with this guy. Now, to the photos, every single one is pure magic! The way he used light and angles—while seamlessly incorporating the stunning nature of our wedding venue—made every image feel timeless and full of life. His passion for his craft and genuine care shines through in every shot. If you’re looking for a photographer who will go above and beyond to give you the most stunning, heartfelt, and artistic photos, you've found him! I can't recommend him more. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we’ll cherish these memories forever.

Becky G Studios
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
Seattle, WA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000

California native, PNW resident, coffee drinker, dog scritcher, friend, forward-thinker, designer. I hate having my photo taken (go figure), my dog Boone makes me laugh every day, and I thrive off of honest, intentional conversations. I’ve worked as a photographer for over 8 years and I know that half the job is connecting with people and offering them an experience, not just a gallery. I believe you have to feel comfortable with the person behind the camera before you can let go and fully be yourself in front of it.

Becky is AMAZING! I first met her in 2016, when she photographed my college graduation pictures. In 2018 - a little over a year into dating Ryan - I asked her to do our holiday pictures. She made Ryan feel so comfortable and at ease in front of the camera for the first time! Over the years, Becky has documented our love and has become a very close part of our lives as a couple. She was there for our engagement pictures in 2022 and we couldn’t imagine our wedding day being documented by anyone else. A month before our wedding, we did private vows under Mount Rainier. Just me, Ryan, Becky and the mountain. Ryan and I wanted it to be as private as possible. Becky was so great at giving us privacy during the reading of our vows while still getting BEAUTIFUL and intimate pictures of it. Having her at our wedding was truly having a friend there who just happens to take stunning pictures. We are so grateful for the memories she has preserved over the years and hope she will be there for future memories! We also love that she supports Black-led and Black-supporting organizations by donating from her earnings for every shoot!

Hi, I’m Marla, and I’ve had a camera in my hands since I could hold one. Travel is what first sparked my love of photography– I felt the need to document every gorgeous landscape in my sights across Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, and here in the States. Once I started taking portraits, though, everything shifted, and I became obsessed with documenting love. I value photos as memories, and they’re extremely precious to me. To me, the ability to freeze a moment in time so you’ll always be able to return to that beauty and joy is nothing short of magic.

She is precious and perfect and excellent at what she does. My wife and I happened upon Marla’s work when she first moved to Seattle in our hunt for queer friendly photographers. From the first moment we spoke we knew we’d be in good hands. Working with Marla felt like hanging out with a friend. We love her and you will love her too. We didn’t absorb that she specialized in elopement photography when we found her, but clearly she’s versatile because our photos are gorgeous! As people who aren’t used to being photographed professionally, Marla gave great direction when we needed it and caught a million beautiful candid moments. She forgot her coat in her fiancés car and did not complain or act chilly even though her nose and cheeks were turning red (don’t worry, we shared our jackets with her haha). Our guests also raved about her!!! She’s lovely and talented; she will make you feel comfortable and encouraged and beautiful.
