When my husband and I got married in 1994, I edited my own wedding video, creating a story of "us". I realized right then and there that I was most energized by personal and creative videography, and boom, Ries Video Productions was born! My time spent at NBC10 in Philadelphia as a photojournalist is when I refined my storytelling skills. When a great story comes together with creative visuals, compelling narration, and carefully curated music, it's pure magic!

Cinematography has given me the creative outlet to tell stories that I always wanted growing up and my couples have given me amazing stories to tell. My main philosophy when it comes to Wedding Filmmaking is that it is not only about creating a video that tells the story of the wedding day, but it’s also about creating a film that tells the story of the couple. My filming style has been described as documentarian and pleasantly discrete. I may stage a few shots from time to time and I will work with the photographer as they are posing you for specific shots, but my films are defined by the fleeting moments in the midst of a very busy day.
