My name is Makenzie, a North Carolina native and UNC–Chapel Hill graduate with a love for creativity, organization, and meaningful moments. When I’m not researching vendors, breaking down budgets, or perfecting timelines, you can usually find me hiking, crafting, or spending time with my mini-me’s. Wedding planning felt like a natural calling once I realized I could combine my love for celebrations with my knack for lists, spreadsheets, and problem-solving. I approach each couple like a trusted friend, creating a calm, supportive planning experience so you can truly enjoy your engagement and wedding day.

| Description | With this package you are a top tier couple. In addition to the Signature Package I will also provide schedule and management of out-of-town guests, book hotel room blocks, plan and coordinate wedding party brunches/luncheons, track RSVPs, and manage anything in between! | You've got the ball rolling but now you're looking for a little extra help in figuring out all the fine details in between, then this package is for you! In addition to the Day-Of Management Package I will also help you in creating a budget, finalizing design aspects, and complete vendor research to make sure you have everything you need for your big day! Hands down the wedding planner!
Hiring Makenzie was the single best investment we made for our wedding. From our very first conversation, it was clear how knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and genuinely caring she is. She took the time to understand our vision, priorities, and personalities, and made sure every decision aligned with what mattered most to us. As the wedding day approached, Makenzie handled logistics, vendor communication, and timelines seamlessly, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the process instead of stressing over details. On the day of the wedding, she was calm, professional, and completely on top of everything behind the scenes. If something went wrong, we never knew about it, and that alone speaks volumes. Makenzie has a rare ability to balance professionalism with warmth. She advocated for us, kept everything running smoothly, and made us feel truly supported throughout the entire experience. We felt confident knowing she had everything handled, and our day turned out better than we ever imagined. I cannot recommend her highly enough to any couple looking for a planner who truly goes above and beyond.

From the moment we hired Makenzie, I felt an instant sense of calm. Wedding planning can be overwhelming, but she truly felt like a best friend in our corner every step of the way. She is incredibly organized, thoughtful, and proactive, always one step ahead and ready with solutions before stress could even set in. On our wedding day, everything ran so smoothly that my partner and I were able to be fully present and actually enjoy every moment. Makenzie handled vendors, timelines, and last-minute changes with total grace and professionalism, all while making us feel supported and cared for. Her communication was amazing, and she genuinely put our needs first. What stood out most was how personal and intentional her approach was. We never felt like “just another couple.” Every detail mattered to her, and that meant the world to us. If you want a planner/coordinator who is organized, calm under pressure, inclusive, and truly invested in your happiness, Makenzie is it. We had an amazing experience with Carolina Event Masters. We had Kenzie as our coordinator as well as two amazing assistants. We had a 7-month engagement and got married December 20, 2025 for a wedding in Henderson, NC with about 100 people in attendance. We found CEM through a NC brides Facebook page when we posted looking for day-of coordinators. CEM had several options for what level of support we needed and we went with the middle option - it comprised, in brief, day-of coordination and running the rehearsal, assistance finding a few vendors, and several planning meetings. The level of service we received was what I'd expect from a planner more than a coordinator. CEM wasn't there to show up the day-of and motion to the piano to start playing. They coordinated in advance every moment of the day to make sure it went smoothly and was exactly what we wanted. Not only did they get the contact info of all the vendors for emergencies, but they confirmed every policy and communicated with them in advance to make sure they knew what to expect. They toured the church and reception venue to make sure they were familiar with the spaces. Not only did they helped with what we asked about, but they asked questions to help us avoid making last-minute decisions or missing things that were important to us that we hadn't thought about. For ex., they asked about what we wanted to happen with the flowers after the reception. They also gave us advice based on their experience. For ex., recommending we list the table assignments by last name. The rehearsal was very professional and pleasant - they were very prompt and made sure to go through everything thoroughly. The day of the wedding they split up between church/reception venue. EVERYTHING was either on-time or early all day. They went above and beyond to help set up the reception - something we definitely didn't expect from a coordinator. Our reception venue had staff that set the tables etc., and we had a florist, but CEM reviewed everything, made sure the placecards/kids bags/high chiars were in the right place down to the chair, etc. They also were familiar with the type of photobooth we rented and they set it up entirely for us. All this set up and more was just way beyond what we expected and extremely helpful. We could tell they were invested in making everything beautiful and perfect. Sarah also took several beautiful photos for us - a complete surprise and very special treat. One of our favorite photos from the night was one she took of our first dance. This also gave us a sneak peak into what the reception looked like before anyone had arrived! (All attached photos are from her). We had an issue with our seating chart and they saved the day - long story short it was going to be delivered AFTER the wedding and we thought we were out of luck. I mentioned the issue to Kenzie and when I arrived from the church after the ceremony I saw the seating chart in the doorway before our entry! She had ordered it, picked it up, and set it up for us. I don't know how she did it, but she did, and it was so thoughtful and touching that she would put in that extra effort on top of everything they had on their plates. I could go on and on but I hope this reflects just some of what CEM did for our wedding and how thrilled we were with them. They are a lovely group of people. If we HAD to cut any cost or change any vendor, they would be last on the list. It was perfect.
