“Melissa and Casey and the rest of the team at RSVP were wonderful to work with! We ended up needing a few tastings because my husband and I have certain dietary preferences and RSVP went above and beyond to accomodate those while also making us feel like we had options that were well thought through and delicious! We eat mostly plant based and while most caterers had made us feel like this was difficult and they could not accomodate this, RSVP offered us numerous options and the capability to modify anything we wanted. It was such a wonderful experience and the food turned out incredible! We also had a few signature drinks and Melissa gave us excellent feedback and helped us really understand what amount of alcohol and other items we should be providing so that their bartenders could give our guests the best experience possible. All of the drinks were absolutely delicious and excecuted perfectly! We had so many fun details like late night french fries with vegan aoili and espresso maritinis and our guests raved about this!! Casey started off as our point of contact and she was fabulous but had to step back for personal reasons and Melissa stepped up and did a fabulous job executing everything that Casey and I had discussed! It was a seemless transition and Casey and Melissa's professionalism is certainly to be admired on a team. I also want to mention the staff at RSVP, the waitstaff and bartenders were lead by a Lead Server that also was at our tasting and he executed our vision beautifully. He knew our dietary needs and ensured we had ample food options on our table at all times while making sure that we weren't given things we couldn't eat on accident. The staff were incredibly kind, hard working, and professional. I highly recommend RSVP for both their excellent teammembers and their delicious plant based and non-plant based food options!”

“Helgas helped bring my vision to life after another (more expensive) caterer told me it was not possible. We did a Made To Order pasta bar experience and it was exactly what I had envisioned. There were multiple chefs crafting dishes at a time so things went smooth and quick and the food was absolutely delicious. It tasted exactly the same as it did at our tasting and we got everything what we wanted from the quality of the food to the beautiful display. The only picture I have is from the tasting because I’m still waiting for pictures but it was an incredible experience from start to finish.”

“We worked with Genesis Delight Catering at the recommendation of our venue manager at Sweeney Barn. We formed a close working relationship with Dianna over the course of wedding planning, as we also contracted her as our day of coordinator through her event planning business, Sublime Event Coordination. GDC and Dianna have a strong working knowledge of Sweeney Barn and close working relationships with the venue manager, which makes them a great option if you're having your wedding there. Pros of our experience with GDC: -They have an extensive menu and are willing to be flexible to match your vision. My family is predominantly located in New York, and New York weddings tend to have very over the top cocktail hours. That was not common in the standard packages offered by the caterers we spoke to in Virginia. However, through the use of their extensive party platter options and Dianna's expertise, we were able to add more into the cocktail hour than the standard options and still stay within budget. It wasn't a New York cocktail hour, but there were plenty of options and no one went hungry. -GDC provided the bar (which honestly wasn't overly expensive and saved us the pain of having to coordinate bringing our own alcohol, which no one wants to deal with on the day of their wedding) and worked with us on identifying signature cocktails that could be batched by their bartenders based on our preferences. They also worked with us to swap out some of their standard wine and liquor options to similarly priced items that we enjoy. -Sweeney Barn only has a warming kitchen, and we appreciated Dianna working with us to ensure that we could still have a small dance set at the start of our reception without impacting the quality of the food. -GDC works directly with rental companies, saving you the trouble (we rented Chiavari chairs), and they have nice complementary table setting options. Props to Dianna for identifying a floral napkin option in stock to fit with our overall decor theme! -Staff made sure the bride and groom were taken care of at all times, which was a really nice touch. We received many compliments on the food, including the presentation of entrees at dinner. Strongly recommend GDC, especially if you're working at one of their frequented venues like Sweeney Barn, to make your planning and execution as seamless as possible.”

“Putting on the Ritz catered our wedding and their food was so good! I worked with Mila and Mindy during the process and thoroughly enjoyed working with them! Guest enjoyed the food (especially the Hors d'oeuvres—those meatballs and cheese/bean quesadillas were gone so quickly lol) ! There was plenty to go around though. And the guests loved the assorted cupcakes (the cake was provided by someone else) and bartending services! There were was internal changes with staffing over the time we hired them to the wedding day, but that did not create any issues. It seemed they had a smooth communication system and everything we agreed on during the tasting was exactly what we had at the wedding. No mistakes, no miscommunications, and any questions that needed clarity were asked and confirmed to myself and my event coordinator. They were timely, their staff was attentive and helpful, were reasonably priced, and they provide all the table clothes, china, silverware/utensils, and drinking glasses (all included and customizable). I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an event caterer in the area!”

“We loved working with Simply Fresh for our Torpedo Factory wedding. Brittany and her team were great with communication. All of our guests loved our food. I loved that Simply Fresh was flexible with us using other vendors such as Andy's Pizza for Late Night food and ordering homemade Pop Tarts and our wedding cake from M B Bakery. The catering staff was extremely gracious to not just the married couple, but all of our guests. They immediately responded to feedback when I wasn't a fan of the first signature drink they gave me and made sure all of the following drinks were perfectly stirred. One of the main reasons why we chose Simply Fresh is that they have a Virginia liquor license and were able to guarantee that our bar would not run out of alcohol. I think one of the best things about working with Simply Fresh is when we went to Select Rentals to pick out our linens/china/decor, etc. for the wedding they were very mindful about our budget and gave us guidance on what were the best items to use to give us an elegant feel to our wedding without breaking the bank. Given that the food and dance floor (fueled largely by alcohol) were such highlights for our guests at our wedding, we have Simply Fresh to thank in playing a large part in our big day.”

“Your guests will leave full and happy. The food is AMAZING. We had people coming up to us and our parents on wedding day asking who catered. We had a lot of vegan and gluten free guests and Classic made sure that they had just as many options as those without the restrictions. Our vegan friends who are used to just picking at salads at every wedding couldn't stop talking about how good everything was, and how they could actually eat it! We worked with Georgetta who helped us at every turn. She made everything perfect and did so much for us, from the time of our first tasting to the very end of the big day. She worked with our budget and made everything come out better than we could have ever imagined. Classic's wait staff and bartenders were also incredible. My husband requested specific gluten free beers because of an allergy and not only did they pull through with it, but they also poured him one for dinner before he even had to ask. I had not thought about how important our caterers ability to work seamlessly with our planner and venue’s facilities planner was prior to delving into planning. It was undoubtedly an asset! Tawney was there for all of our minor revisions, add ons, tweaks, tasting, final walk through, last minute dance floor additions, and after we walked down the aisle. Her staff were exceptional. The tasting was fun and allowed us an opportunity to pick and choose what would work best for day of. I also appreciated Debbie’s input when it came to the menu. We had several guests with food allergies and dietary restrictions and windows were able to accommodate all of them. Knowing we not be working with a florist, Windows provided our center pieces. Beautiful white flowers and greenery surrounding three candle holders of different heights. A beautiful touch that helped bring the space together. When it came to day of planning, Debbie was able to help with managing a smooth timeline and ensure all the food was prepared and ready tasting its absolute best. We’ve received tons of compliments on how delicious the food was from our guests. The short rib melted in your mouth and the Halibut was cooked to perfection and served to guests quickly not compromising its quality. For our vegan friends they noted the cauliflower steak was one of the best dishes they’ve had at a wedding. All in all we cannot recommend Windows enough! There are usually two ways people remember wedding food and we feel so lucky that guests walked away full and raving about how good ours was!”

“From the moment we reached out to them for a consultation to the end of our wedding, working with the Appetites by RJ team was a calm blessing in the flurry of wedding planning. They were always extremely responsive, kind, flexible, professional, and warm. We are a queer couple and they treated us like family from the beginning. Most importantly the food was AMAZING. Our guests are still talking about it, especially the mac and cheese and cornbread. We also hired them as our bartending team, and they did a great job with that as well. On wedding day, everything went without a glitch, and they made sure us as the wedding couple were fed and provided drinks throughout the night, so we actually got to really enjoy their delicious food.
