Hi! My name is Mae, and I live in Brooklyn with my girlfriend, our two dogs Apollo and Bia, her cat Gigi and my lizard, Basil! I’ve always been passionate about capturing moments as authentically and magically as possible, and as i’ve settled more into this career path, I love that i’ve landed in a place where I have the privilege to capture and preserve people’s love stories. Weddings and elopements are so distinctly and uniquely human, and it’s truly the biggest honor to be trusted to document them.

From the very beginning, Mae's communication was clear, kind, thoughtful, and mindful - she truly made us feel special every step of the way. Her creative, high-quality, and unique photography captured all the special moments, including the exact moment my fiancé proposed. Mae's film-style approach gave our photos a truly special look and feel. Hi! My name is Steve. I do visual storytelling. I’m married with three kids and in my spare time I record music and build things. I've been filming and photographing weddings since 2009. I love travel and getting to know unique couples.

Awarded Best of Zola
We hired Steven and his team to do our wedding photos and videography. I really wanted a photographer that could capture the soul of the event, and Steven did exactly that. His photos are full of life, and I shared so many portraits with guests that actually got printed out or posted online. If you're looking for hundreds of photos of your wedding party that look exactly the same and for every planned second to be documented, Steven is not your person. If you're looking to hit the big moments but focus on capturing raw moments with timeless photos to get framed, I couldn't recommend them more. I never thought I would get a wedding video because it always seemed cheesy to me. But after watching examples of his work I fell absolutely in love with his videos. I've honestly had a hard time watching ours because it evokes so much emotion. Steven was collaborative and willing to go with the flow. We gave him the difficult task of being prepared for 3 different locations with totally differing lighting (indoor/outdoor plus shooting from high sun into the night). He puts an immense amount of care into his work and the photos are truly art that we will cherish forever. If there are specific things you want covered, be sure to share a list. When it comes to capturing the moments that can't be planned, he is on the case!

Eric Turner Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,500
  • Serves Custer, SD

Hey there! I'm Eric, an outdoor-loving, laid-back wedding photographer based in the Midwest who lives for capturing those real, unfiltered moments that make each love story unique. When I'm not behind the camera, you'll probably find me hiking trails or discovering new local breweries. My approach blends documentary-style storytelling with a touch of editorial flair—meaning I'll capture both those candid laughs during toasts and those naturally romantic moments during golden hour. The best photos happen when couples feel completely at ease and free to be themselves.

Awarded Best of Zola
Having Eric as a photographer is like hanging out with an old friend. He put this camera-shy couple at ease immediately, made us laugh, and always had great suggestions for posing to help get the best results possible. He came prepared with ideas for shots and scenes, and his videography was so unobtrusive we almost didn’t remember it was happening! He is quick to respond to questions, has an amazing eye for color and composition, and is generally just a really positive presence on a day that can otherwise be pretty stressful. Don’t sleep on Eric — you’ll be so glad you hired him!

Roman Photography

  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Custer, SD

I spent 10 years as a photojournalist covering news, sports, and political campaigns, and for the past 25 years I’ve photographed weddings with the same calm, observant approach. That experience taught me how to anticipate moments, work quickly in changing light, and capture genuine emotion without getting in the way. I focus on the natural moments as they unfold, keep portraits relaxed with gentle direction, and make family photos organized and efficient so they do not take you away from your wedding for long.

Roman Photography was the perfect choice for our wedding photography needs. From our very first interaction, Roman's communication was comprehensive, timely and incredibly helpful as we planned the details of our small, backyard ceremony. We had never hired a photographer before, and he was very helpful in asking us questions and sharing information proactively. On the day of, Roman captured the event seamlessly - he knew exactly when to step back and let moments unfold naturally, and when to jump in to get the perfect shot. We're so grateful that he noticed us FaceTiming my grandmother so we have beautiful photos of her presence, even though she couldn't attend in person. The final photos are absolutely stunning, and the value for the quality of work was excellent. We couldn't be happier with our decision to work with Roman Photography and highly recommend them to any couple planning their wedding.

Danielle Robidoux Photography

Your wedding is not a performance. It's the way you look at each other when no one's watching. Your hand finding theirs without thinking. My couples care more about what’s real than what looks good on a grid. They want gorgeous photos but also want them to mean something. The couples I work with have depth. Their stories have weight. They want someone behind the lens who sees them. Not just how they look, but who they are. Presence over performance. That's the closest I can get to naming it.

Awarded Best of Zola
From the moment we first spoke with Danielle (at Moon Rising Photography), we knew we had found the perfect wedding photographer for our special day. Her communication style was both thoughtful and highly professional, putting us at ease throughout the entire process. She kept us on track the whole day, working quickly and efficiently while also keeping everything feeling natural and easy. We are overjoyed with the stunning photos that will allow us to cherish the memories of our wedding for a lifetime. Alongside creative direction, my experience allows me to be an advisor for timeline shaping so the day moves with intention and room to breathe, building a collaborative storyboard, capturing visual analog film & super 8

Awarded Best of Zola
I cannot say enough about Justina—she helped our wedding day run seamlessly! From the start, she was incredibly helpful and communicative, working closely with us to construct the perfect wedding day timeline. She even provided a detailed wedding guidebook and questionnaire, which helped us envision the exact vibe we wanted. On the big day, when we inevitably fell behind schedule, Justina handled it with such grace and adapted quickly. She adjusted effortlessly, stayed flexible, and kept everything moving. Even with less time for photos, she still managed to capture all the shots we had requested. Justina’s collaboration with her brother Anthony, who did our videography, was another highlight. Instead of coordinating between two separate vendors, we were able to meet with both of them together, ensuring that our wedding day vibe was beautifully reflected in both the photos and video. They both were extremely professional and helpful, in addition to providing creative ideas that helped bring our vision to life. What truly sets Justina apart is her talent and eye for candid shots that look and feel so natural. You can tell she cares deeply about the quality of her work. She got us a preview album within a week of the wedding, and my husband and I were so moved by the photos. We still cannot stop looking through them! If you want someone who will make your wedding photo dreams come true and help you feel comfortable and taken care of on our wedding day, look no further than Justina. We couldn’t be happier with our choice!

What do you imagine your wedding to be like? Imagination is a nice gift we have. It helps us building our identities and shaping our individual uniqueness. Imagining carries a degree of anticipation, depending on our past experiences and who we are, of how something that hasn't happened yet is going to be when it actually happens. Like traveling to a place where we've never been before and we take photos of its landscapes and people living there: we tend to capture in those photographs how we had imagined that place. A wedding is a destination in the journey of life, perhaps the most important one.

If I were to choose one word that describes MC Visuals, it’d be “breathtaking”. Honestly, the way I feel cannot even be explained in words. They offer both photography and videography. The quality of the photos and video is just astounding that it was way better than I had expected. I was looking for a certain vibe and they fit the bill. Some things to note: 1. They respond in a timely manner. Well-organized. 2. Very sweet couple who will make you feel very special during your special day. 3. Outgoing personalities that’ll help you feel more comfortable being in front of the camera. 4. Again, the QUALITY of the photos and videos. I can’t stress this enough. They go above and beyond. And capture your day in a way that it feels like a dream. I am immensely satisfied with their work. If I were given the chance to do it all over again, I’d choose MC Visuals every time.

I love capturing the unseen, messy, and perfectly imperfect photos that you never even knew you wanted. I live for those emotive, raw, storytelling moments. I take a documentary approach to my work with a little bit of editorial; My style is candid and my focus is authentic connection through my images. If I were to describe my style; VIBRANT | RICH | BOLD+COLORFUL.

Jeny is AMAZING!! She was easy to talk to and a great communicator. She took the time to get to know us through our engagement shoot and a questionnaire prior to the wedding, and then she was a great presence on our wedding day! Flexible with weather changes, family requests for photos, and patient with us through posing. The photos we’ve received from her are so beautiful and natural and really captured our love and our celebration. We will treasure our wedding day through our photos for years to come, and we will definitely work with her again for any future photographer needs!
