He followed up thoughtfully over email and offered to set up a call. From the moment we started talking, I felt like I was catching up with an old friend. He was clearly the most capable person I had spoken to, and by the end of the call, I was completely sold on him and his team. I had my heart set on a documentary-style photographer, and I was especially drawn to Stuart’s work. I followed his portfolio online and was continually impressed with every post. Leading up to the wedding, John was more of a help than he probably realizes. My husband and I initially reached out to her because she had photographed weddings at our original venue, and we were completely sold after looking through her portfolio. Her moody, emotional, and intimate photos were exactly what we envisioned. We are not “cookie-cutter” wedding photo people, and with every set of photos we reviewed, we found ourselves literally gasping. Our gut feeling was only reinforced once we started talking to her and getting to know her. Neither my husband nor I had ever had professional photos taken, but our engagement shoot was so much fun. She spent time getting to know us and made sure we were able to capture amazing, memorable photos, without losing sight of the actual point of the day and party we were there to enjoy. Multiple times she seamlessly adapted our shot plan on-the-fly to let us have more time to be with guests or have a moment to ourselves when she sensed we needed it.
